Ind vs M Cab: Jagut Arsembe está com quadrado desde a primeira série, mas ainda faz sua estréia.
It was after a two-day break that Team India finally hit the nets at Beckenham, but it seems, there could be a slight injury concern in the camp. As per a report in Sportstar, left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh suffered an injury, while stopping a ball. The same was confirmed by coach Ryan Ten Doeschate, and the bowler’s hand was later strapped with a bandage.
Arshdeep Singh Injures Hand
So far in the series, Arshdeep Singh hasn’t been included in the playing XI, but there were rumours, that the Old Trafford wicket that assists pacers, might see the lanky bowler play. Having said that, the extent of his injury not known for now. India is dealing with the uncertainty of Rishabh Pant’s finger injury as well, while Shubman Gill had revealed, that he should be fit in time for the next clash.
On the other hand, England too have injury concerns in the team. Shoaib Bashir is ruled out of the series, after injuring his left hand, while Liam Dawson has come in as a replacement. There are issues with Brydon Carse’s toe, and the management also need to manage the workload of fragile Chris Woakes and Jofra Archer.
Questions Over India’s Playing XI for Manchester Test
It is important to note that the Indian team is trailing in the series 1-2, and would want all their players fit, for the remaining two matches. They came tantalisingly close to a victory in the Lord’s Test, where they only lost by 22 runs. Meanwhile, Manchester happens to be the venue for the fourth Test, which will be excellent for pacers.
India could be tempted to rope in an extra seamer in the Test, perhaps Arshdeep, in place of a spinner. That remains to be seen, and will be confirmed on July 23.
