Yash Dayal breaks silence on sexual exploitation allegation
As per NDTV, the complaint lodged by Dayal against the women claims that she had stolen a laptop and IPhone from the cricketer. The fast bowler has also accused the complainant of taking money from him on the pretext of medical reasons and not having returned in to date. Dayal alleged that the woman had also borrowed money from him in the name of shopping.
“Yash Dayal has even alleged that the woman borrowed lakhs of rupees from him under the pretext of medical treatment for herself and her family, promising to repay, but that hasn’t happened to date,” the report stated.
The report further states that Dayal has demanded an FIR be registered against the women, two members of her family and others. The pacer has reportedly assured the Prayagraj Police that he has the evidence to back his claims over the woman taking money from him for shopping.
“The left-arm pacer also told the Prayagraj police that he got acquainted with the woman through Instagram in 2021, after which they started interacting with each other,” Dayal’s complaint stated.
The case against Yash Dayal
According to a report by The Indian Express, Dayal has been booked under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which deals with sexual acts committed through deception or false promises of marriage. The law carries a sentence of up to 10 years, along with a monetary fine. The FIR has been lodged at the Indirapuram police station.
“He repeatedly made physical relations with me by falsely promising marriage and introduced me to his family, who assured that I would be their daughter-in-law. I maintained the relationship with complete honesty and dedication,” the woman said. “I tried to end my life many times because I couldn’t get out of the mental pain, and he and his family kept giving me false assurances. His relationship with other women caused me deep mental trauma and broke me down.”
