Indol vs Proccep 3rd é uma matéria dramática
India and England played out a thriller at Lord’s, which ended with a narrow 22-run win for England on Monday. Chasing 193, India folded for 170 handing the hosts a 2-1 lead in the series. The IND vs ENG 3rd Test saw a lot of drama unfold, with Washington Sundar’s remark of an India win eventually coming to haunt them.
Washington, Nitish fired England up: Broad, Buttler on Lord’s Test
Former England captain Jos Buttler felt Washington Sundar had put a target on his back following his comments on Day 4. India were 58/4 with a day to go when the India all-rounder prophesized a win for his side.
“Definitely India winning, probably just after lunch We are sitting pretty, and we will come out positive. We have some solid batters in the dressing room,” said Sundar at the end of Day 4.
Sundar’s comments backfired and India collapsed on the final day. It took a heroic Ravindra Jadeja innings to make it a close contest. England were naturally, pumped with Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer leading the attack. Stuart Broad added that Nitish Kumar Reddy also had a go at the England openers, and was served up response on the final day.

“You set yourself up, don’t you? It’s horrible. But now everyone knows what I’ve said in the media last night, and everyone’s after me. Even McCullum-possibly the only time he didn’t have his feet up-he’s leant forward to say, ‘Come on. Let’s ramp it up for this guy,’” said Jos Buttler on For the Love of Cricket podcast.
Archer was at his fiery best, clocking in excess of 90mph constantly before Lunch. Nitish had a got at the Crawley and Duckett from the slips during the Test and the England pacers saved their best for him.
“Actually, it was a team plan. They’ve had ago at Zak Crawley. We’ve got to meet fire with fire here. Ben Duckett, Harry Brook, Joe Rooty-getting stuck into Reddy-because reports came back from the middle when Crawley and Duckett were out there that Reddy was the most vocal,” the England legend added.
